My family loves the fried green tomatoes.

Very similar to Cracker Barrell, but local and more quaint. Great homestyle breakfast and dinner.

Talk about great food! I had fried chicken livers, mashed potatoes and fried green tomatoes and they all were super delicious! The servings were plentiful. Wait staff was very good too.

Friendly staff to take of you. Yummy food with daily specials to choose from. There's local crafts from various places available for purchase.

Went here instead of Cracker Barrel, which had people outside waiting. This was 7 PM on a Thursday. There was no wait at Dinner Bell. Restrooms were clean, there is a small gift shop filled with inspirational stuff. A challenging dive game on the table, which my daughter couldn't get enough of. Service was outstanding. The food was great. Really liked the fried cornbread. They too offer breakfast all day like Cracker Barrel. Pulled out and was able to make a uturn into Speedway for gas. To me, the perfect setup. Will definitely eat here again and highly recommend it.

Saturday night all you can eat pork ribs were to die for. They was more than we could eat. If you leave this place hungry, it's your fault. Atmosphere was great our waiter was great. Prices were dead on. I will be back!!

Our meals were excellent. My wife had the cod and fried green tomatoes while I had the Swiss steak with real mashed potatoes. We both had homemade coleslaw. Waitress was extremely friendly. Little difficult to find but we would definitely go there again.

Great lunch of home cooked meal that we have stopped at before. Sweetest woman(owner?)who came to our table to talk. This place is clean everywhere even outside.Daily specials and great desserts.Gift shop has nice pottery from a local person.

We stopped in twice now traveling from Tennessee. I had the fried green tomatoes which are wonderful!( loved the breading and dip! Crispy Fried chicken, mashed potatoes gravy and buttery corn. My husband had roast beef this time and I had the chef salad. Everything was great! They are friendly and the convenient location right off 75.

When here after University Kentucky graduation. There wasn't a lot of people there and the food was very good. I only spent 90 some dollars for 6 people. Very nice atmosphere. Remind me of a Cracker Barrel, but better.

We called ahead of time!!& asked what the special WAS...they said all u can eat ribs!! We were in Richmond at the TIME!!& I replied Yaaayyy!!! We ARE ON our way THERE NOW!!!& drove out of our WAY to get ribs!!!.....only😰😪to be told THEY had no ribs!!!😰😪😪ate the breakfast food &,got belly aches I won't ever go BACK!!!!!😰😰😪😪TERRIBLE

Such a nice family-run restaurant. We had a large group, but thanks to reservations, they were prepared for us. Our tables were ready. Our servers were excellent. The food was excellent and arrived at our tables in a relatively short time.

Local place with great down home food.

This is a nice place for breakfast. Think sort of like Cracker Barrel but without the corporate uniformity. There's nothing that really stands out, but it's just good country eating. The biscuits are not made from scratch, but overall the food is quite good.

This place provides the best of southern home cooking. I got the all you can eat fried catfish on Friday night and couldn't eat more than one plate! The sides are to die for!

Great, authentic home cooked food! It's a very pretty, very clean place everywhere. Honestly, one of the nicest looking, most welcoming atmosphere I've ever seen. Absolutely great all around!

This is a very casual place, with home style cooking. They have moderate prices and daily specials. I ordered a vegetable plate which came with a choice of 4 items plus bread. Service is not fast, but the servers are friendly.

The restaurant was clean, food was great, and service was excellent. A wonderful rest stop on my way home to Ohio. Thank you so much for the down-home feeling.

Absolutely delicious food! The service and staff were amazing as well. Definitely a happy accidental lunch for my boyfriend and I.

They have some cute things in the gift shop. It's inexpensive, and service is friendly. The food isn't really exciting to an adventurous foodie, but if you like your Appalachian great-grandma's cooking, you'll love it. It's simple and very filling. I'd choose this place over cracker barrel, because it's independent and locally owned.

Home cooking and lots of variety. Really nice wait staff. They have a cute gift shop attached to the restaurant, too.

Inside and outside seating beats cracker barrel by a mile plus is about a dollar per meal less. also locally-owned and does not serve alcohol.

Nice diner right off the 75. Good food and homey atmosphere. Try the clacker game while your there :-)

LOVED IT.. FOOD AND SERVICE WAS AMAZING. THE STORE IS SO WARM AND WELCOMING. NOT OVER CLUTTER AND SHOW CASED BEAUTIFULLY. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND STOPING BY. BECAUSE IM SURE I WILL BE MY NEXT TRIP THREW.

It was okay, the environment was friendly. They were out of some of the things we'd originally wanted. Staff was excellent, the little country store was adorable. Price of the food was reasonable. Bathrooms were clean. Overall good experience, we just didn't like our food.

Rock solid home cooked food. Even though there is a large chain restaurant across the highway it's always worth it to me to support local businesses. We didn't take the time to shop in their gift area.

They advertised in several places real whipped potatoes. I got what they said was slow cooked pot roast with the "real" mashed potatoes. I'm honestly not sure what the meat was but it was NOT pot roast, the potatoes were very much instant and oh my goodness the brown "gravy" was totally gelatinous when I got it. I thankfully ordered a side of beans and cornbread and that was decent, not a ton of flavor but I added salt and it wasn't bad. I told the manager, and showed her my food and she was like oh ok I'll take care of that for you and when I got my bill back she took off $5.95, the meal was 10.95. My neice and nephew got chicken tenders and didn't even like them. The were flat and dry and the Mac and cheese they got looked and they said tasted like it had been made, refrigerated and then microwaved. I do not recommend going here. Go to the Amish store, I hear their food is really good.

Good food nice place

Friday is all you can eat catfish. You automatically get 2 humungous pieces of deep fried catfish, 2 sides of your choice, plus 1 bread choice. You get more if you ask for it. I could only eat 1 piece of fish, I did not request any more. I would have ordered only 1 piece if I'd known they would not allow me to box up the 2nd piece (that I did not request/order anyway). Lots of food thrown away, sad. Food was ok, I prefer the cornmeal breading, which this was not. Breakfast served all day, rest of menu served after 11am. Clean restaurant, very nice & friendly staff. Nice little gift and craft store too.

This is the real deal. I'm staying here locally and this is my favorite place to dine. I posted pics of the store and the menu below. This is real KY home cooking.

We were very happy with our breakfast. I had blueberry hot cakes & sausage my husband had plain. Our server was very nice. They also have a very nice gift shop.It did take about 30 minutes or more to get our order so don’t be in a big hurry, Worth the wait.

Amazing food, as close to home cooked taste in a restaurant that I have found in a long time. Chicken Fried Steak and mashed potatoes and gravy were top notch.

Been sitting in the dining room for a tad bit over an hour. The waitress came and got our drink order walked away and about 20min later we got our drinks. We ordered our food and sat for an additional 30min. Approached the manager who was a brownish blond with glasses who was nasty about the questions asked. Never been treated more rudely by a manager in my life. The waitress was doing a great job the food was delicious but when a manager acts unprofessional and treats customers who ask questions badly sorry the review will slide downward. Thanks but no thanks
